Yesterday @travismanionfoundation had the opportunity to engage with JROTC cadets at Friendly High School in Maryland. I was able to share some of my service story, and fellow mentor Dave Owens and I talked about the importance of character traits Curiosity and Love of Learning, while giving the cadets opportunity to engage with their own thoughts and stories. Since then, my relationship with TMF has grown because I fervently believe if we are going to solve the challenges that face our country, the solutions start with building character. Today I'm humbled and honored to receive this notice: "Matt, please accept this congratulatory communication as official notification of your acceptance into the Travis Manion Foundation's Spartan Leadership Program class of 2023. We appreciate your commitment to continued development of your personal character and leadership in an effort to better serve those around you, your community, and your personal ability to thrive! Congratulations on being selected for Cohort 5!" #ifnotmethenwho "Generally speaking, I’d rather get a root canal than be in a crowd of people I don’t know. Unless, that is, the topic is boats. If that’s the case I’ll happily talk to anyone until the sun runs out of hydrogen..." Click 'latest blog post' in bio. #yachtbroker #unitedyachtsales #boatlife #boatshow @stuartboatshow day 2!
