I am seriously geeking out to learn that this exhibition is at Mystic Seaport. Accurate time keeping at sea bedeviled the world for a long time because without precise time of day finding longitude was impossible. I wrote a post about the fascinating book, called erm, “Longitude”, describing the quest for an accurate time keeper a few months ago. Now I’ve got to make plans to go up and see this!
