Even on the worst days this job isn’t so bad. When it’s raining and cold and you’re knee deep in a dirty bilge dealing with a recalcitrant black water tank on a boat you are trying to sell, at least you’re still messing around in boats. Which still beats a Pentagon cubicle every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
Then there are the good days, which far outnumber the bad, when you’re dealing with clients that are conscientious, reasonable and just fun to be around. And their boat which you are going to sell sparkles like a diamond. The icing on the cake is when they agree to price the boat aggressively so that it will compete well on the market.
And so it went on this boat that we listed last Friday. We had a contract on it less than 24 hrs later, and we go to survey/trial run tomorrow.
